4in Potted Plant
Name: Basil, Eleonora
Scientific Name: Ocimum Basilicum var. Eleonora
Eleonora basil is a perfect variety of basil to use if you’ve had problems with downy mildew in the past. The leaf shape and more open habit make this variety naturally less susceptible to basil downy mildew, a bigger problem in humid environments. Having spicier flavor than traditional pesto types means this added protection from mildew doesn’t come at a cost to flavor. A rapid growing variety makes it perfect for replanting for continual harvest throughout the season.
