Name: Jewels of Opar
Scientific Name: Talinum Paniculatum

Jewels of Opar are a succulent subshrub in the purslane family, Portulacaceae, that is native to much of the western hemisphere.
Origination: Talinum paniculatum is native to the southern United States, much of Latin America and the Caribbean

Recommended Uses: It is often grown as an ornamental plant.

Growing Instructions:
Surface sow seeds 6-8 weeks before last frost date on flats or cells of good potting soil. Germination in 6-14 days, prefers 65-75 degrees. Needs light to germinate. Transplant to small pots until true leaves show and harden off before planting. Plant in full sun location 8-12” apart on cloudy day to get established. Water only when the weather is very dry.
