Moringa is a fast-growing, deciduous tree most often grown for it’s culinary uses since many parts of the plant are edible and nutrient dense. Just about everything from, the leaves, roots, oils and flowers have a use. Drought resistant, the Moringa tree can usually survive with out extra water once established, as too much water will often cause rootrot. This sun and heat loving tree also has an adversion to frost and the cold so be sure to protect harsh temperatures.

Plant the seeds 1 cm deep in dampened seed starting mix, and place in a sunny location, allow 1-2 weeks for the plant to sprout. From there allow plant to strengthen over the next few weeks waiting for the second set of true leaves to form before transplanting into a larger pot or the ground. Be sure to avoid over watering as too much will cause the plant (or seeds) to rot. Moringa likes the sun, so the more the better.
