A staple of Mediterranean cuisine Greek Oregano has a stronger flavor than other varieties, which are actually often marjoram or Mexican sage. This herb is probably best known for its role in pizza, but is used across a variety of dishes and has even been used to help preserve meat.
True Greek oregano has also been used as a medicinal herb for centuries. Internally it has beneficial effects on the digestive and respiratory systems, and externally it’s used to help treat muscle soreness and as an antiseptic.

Full sun, however he plant can take some light shade at the cost of a little less flavor and yield. Greek oregano is fairly drought tolerant and does not care for soil that is constantly damp. Use dryer sandier soil over loamy and clay heavy types for better results.
